Seven Ukrainians ranked among the richest people in the world

On March 6 th , American Forbes unveiled a list of the richest people in the world. This year, Amazon’s owner Jeff Bezos won the first place with 112 billion dollars. The total number of wealthy people has increased to 2208, reports “Investor”.The second and third steps were taken by Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates, and Berkshire Hathaway’s head Warren Buffett, with 90 billion and 84 billion dollars.

According to the results of 2017, the total wealth of the 20 richest people is 1.2 trillion dollars. It is 13% of the total income of 2208 billionaires. The most billionaires, 585, live in the United States, 373 – in China.

Experts note that this year the first billionaire, who earned capital on crypto currency, appeared on the list.

There 7 Ukrainians on the list. Rinat Akhmetov with 5.5 billion dollars occupies 334 th place. Igor Kolomoisky and a newcomer Vadim Novinsky occupy the lowest places among Ukrainian billionaires. They ranked 2124 th with a fortune of $ 1 billion.
